Gordon Brown has refused to contend either Alistair Darling would be his chancellor if Labour won the ubiquitous choosing and certified to a "difficult relationship" with his Downing Street neighbour.
In an talk in The Daily Telegraph, he declined to endorse the appointment and pronounced he could not be approaching to make known his Cabinet whilst "we"ve got an choosing to get through".

Tensions in between the dual men were laid unclothed this week when the Chancellor indicted Mr Brown of permitting No10 turn doctors to unleash "the forces of hell" on him.
