Alexander McQueen funeral: fashion world bids farewell to designer

Supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell and associate engineer Stella McCartney assimilated members of McQueen"s family to contend a last farewell to the decorated fashionista.

About 100 mourners attended the wake of McQueen, genuine name Lee, at St Paul"s Church in shaggy Knightsbridge, west London.

The congregation, together with Ms Moss and Ms Campbell who were both ready to go wholly in black, outlayed around an hour inside the church prior to the coffin - brimful with pink, white and red roses - was carried out by 4 pallbearers.

She was followed by her close crony Ms McCartney who wore black pleated trousers, knee high boots and a short windjacket.

Ms Campbell was one of the last mourners to leave the church wearing a cut off hat, black gloves and a coupler with oversize shoulder pads.

Artist Daphne Guinness teamed a black dress fit with an blow up Lady GaGa-style full length deceive and beehive hairdo. Also between the mourners were artist and executive Sam Taylor-Wood.

McQueen"s father Ronald was assimilated by his five young kids at the rite that came dual weeks after the 40-year-old"s death.
