Man Utds Glazers complain to Goldman Sachs boss about Jim ONeill

Sources with believe of the review reliable to The Dailythat the Glazers contacted Mr Blankfein in late Jan after Mr O"Neill was rarely vicious of their tenure of Manchester United.

Mr O"Neill is the element figure at the back of the Red Knight"s Group, a consortium that this week voiced plans to try to buy Manchester United from the Glazers.

Goldman Sachs was one of the underwriters of the club"s new �507m down payment issue, earning a share of �15m in fees, and the family was angry when Mr O"Neill criticised their heavily-leveraged tenure indication before long after the down payment closed.

Asked for his perspective of the down payment at the finish of Jan Mr O"Neill said: "There"s as well most precedence going on with Manchester United, it"s not a great thing, I"m not a customer of the bond. I worth my long-term await for Manchester United."

The Glazers were so angry at Mr O"Neill"s involvement that they complained without delay to Mr Blankfein. His reply is not known, but Mr O"Neill has not corroborated off from his perspective of the Glazers.

Goldman Sachs declined to comment.
