Fall in trade hurts London

The Port rubbed only 45m tonnes of load in 2009, down 14pc on the year before, according to total expelled by the Port of London Authority (PLA).

"It was unavoidable that 2009 would be a really difficult year and we design traffic in 2010 to be small changed," pronounced Richard Everitt, arch senior manager of the PLA.
