Boy thirteen remanded on haven seeker attempted murder charge

A 13-year-old child appeared in justice currently charged with the attempted attempted murder of an haven seeker.

Alioune Cisse, 30, died at Newcastle General Hospital 3 days after he was found slumped in Hugh Gardens, Benwell, Newcastle, on Feb 12. He had suffered a brain injury.

The boy, who cannot be declared for authorised reasons, appeared prior to Newcastle Magistrates" Court this morning.

Flanked by a trial military officer he spoke usually to endorse his name, residence and date of birth.

District Judge Stephen Earl remanded him to secure internal management accommodation.

He will lapse to Newcastle Magistrates" Court on Tuesday Apr 20.

Mr Cisse, who was additionally well known as Papa Mbaye, came to Tyneside to find haven from Senegal a couple of months ago.

Two alternative boys, elderly seventeen and 15, were formerly charged with attempted attempted murder and remanded in custody.
